Trusted by Central Coast homeowners and businesses. CEC-accredited installers. Panels, batteries, and heat pumps designed for local conditions.
Electricity prices across NSW have continued to climb, and Central Coast households are feeling it. Whether you’re cooling a beachside home through a humid summer, running a growing family’s appliances, or powering a small business through the day, the quarterly power bill has become one of the most frustrating and unavoidable costs of living on the coast.
The frustrating part is that the Central Coast receives some of the strongest solar irradiance in the state year-round. The sun is right there, every day, and most homes are paying full grid rates when they could be generating their own clean energy for free.
That’s exactly what Renewable Industries is here to fix. We design and install custom solar systems for Central Coast homes and businesses, using CEC-accredited installers who know this region’s unique conditions: coastal salt spray near Terrigal and Umina, heavy tree cover in suburbs like Ourimbah and Lisarow, the diverse mix of older Gosford homes and newer Warnervale estates. We don’t do generic installs. Every system is designed from the ground up for the property it goes on.
Renewable Industries offers a full suite of solar and clean energy services for Central Coast residential and commercial clients. Every solution is designed specifically for your property, energy usage, and budget.
Custom-designed rooftop solar systems for Central Coast homes of all sizes and ages. From compact 6.6 kW starter systems to large 13–20 kW arrays, we optimise every install for your roof, orientation, and energy habits.
High-output solar systems for Central Coast businesses, warehouses, and industrial premises. We handle network applications, metering, and compliance paperwork from start to finish.
Store your daytime solar generation and use it at night or during outages. We supply and install leading battery brands. Federal battery rebates currently available. Rebate reduces annually.
There is no shortage of solar companies operating on the Central Coast. Here is why local homeowners and businesses consistently choose Renewable Industries:
Renewable Industries has been delivering solar and renewable energy solutions across NSW for years. We’re not going anywhere. If you need support in 10 years, we’ll still be here.
We manage commercial solar projects from first contact to a fully operational, grid-connected system. Here is what the process looks like:
Contact Renewable Industries to schedule your free commercial energy assessment and discover how your business can reduce operating costs with clean, sustainable power.

In most cases, no. Residential solar installations on the Central Coast fall under exempt development under the NSW State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes). This means you do not need a DA or consent from Central Coast Council, provided the system meets standard conditions (panels must not project more than 300mm above the roof surface; residential systems under 100 kW). We confirm exempt development eligibility as part of every quote. Commercial installations are assessed individually.
The Central Coast is serviced by Ausgrid, the same network operator covering Sydney and the Hunter. All grid connection applications for new solar systems are processed through Ausgrid. Renewable Industries manages the entire connection application process on your behalf as part of the standard installation service.
After federal STC rebates are applied, a quality 6.6 kW residential system on the Central Coast typically costs between $5,000 and $8,500, depending on panel brand, inverter type, and roof complexity. A 10 kW system generally sits in the $7,500 to $11,000 range. Adding a quality 10 kWh battery currently adds approximately $8,000 to $12,000 before the federal battery rebate (currently around $3,700 for a 10 kWh system). We provide fully itemised quotes so you know exactly what you are investing in.
It depends on the severity and location of the shading. Heavy shade on a north-facing roof is a challenge, but there are effective solutions. We use shade analysis tools during the design phase, and where shading is significant, we can specify microinverter or DC optimiser configurations (such as Enphase or SolarEdge systems) that allow each panel to operate independently rather than dragging down the whole string. We will give you an honest assessment at the site visit. If shading makes solar genuinely unviable for your property, we will tell you.
It is a factor to plan around, not a barrier. Properties within approximately 1 km of the coast are in a severe marine environment for corrosion classification purposes. We specify marine-grade (C4/C5-rated) mounting hardware and racking for all coastal installations as standard practice. We have installed systems across Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Umina, Ettalong, and Pearl Beach using this approach, and those systems perform reliably over time.
